Bio
Laura Bender Koropey has been a Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania for over 40 years. After seven years practicing tax accounting and serving as a Tax Manager with the firm of Ernst & Young in Philadelphia, she became a tax manager with a Main Line CPA firm handling high net worth individuals. Since 2000, Laura has maintained her own CPA practice.
Laura’s experience includes the preparation of state and federal individual and fiduciary income tax returns, gift tax returns, Pennsylvania inheritance tax returns and U.S. federal estate tax returns. Laura also prepares Accounts for estates and trusts, both for informal use with beneficiaries and for submission for formal Court approval.
Laura holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics, in both Accounting and Marketing from the Wharton School of Commerce and Finance of the University of Pennsylvania.
Laura has served as treasurer of the Governing Board of the Philadelphia Orchestra Volunteers Committee, as treasurer of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, Women’s Division and serves on the Board of the non-profit Team Up Philly.
