Ann Thornburg Weiss has been with Timoney Knox since 1984. The focus of Ms. Weiss’ practice is on municipal law and real estate, including zoning and land development, as well as civil litigation and appellate work.

Ms. Weiss graduated magna cum laude with honors in political science from Gettysburg College and earned her law degree from Temple University School of Law in 1980.

Ms. Weiss has more than 30 years of legal experience. She has provided legal services for many municipal clients including Perkasie Borough, the Municipality of Norristown, Upper Moreland Township, North Wales Water Authority, North Penn Water Authority, Bedminster Township, Lehigh County Authority, Bucks County, Telford Borough Authority, City of Reading, Northampton Township, North Wales Borough, Montgomery Township Municipal Sewer Authority, Hatfield Borough and Milford Township Zoning Hearing Board.

Prior to joining Timoney Knox, she served as law clerk to The Honorable Donald E. Wieand, Judge of the Pennsylvania Superior Court in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Ms. Weiss has written for the Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association’s magazine The Authority, and lectured on Municipal Law at Pennsylvania Bar Association Legal Education Seminars.

Ms. Weiss was elected twice to the Board of Commissioners of Upper Dublin Township. She was chair of the Township Commissioners’ Planning Commission and served on the Upper Dublin Township-School District Task Force. She also served as the Commissioner representative to the Fire Services Strategic Initiatives Steering Committee and on the Task Force for Historic Preservation.

She is very active in the community, having been involved in youth athletics, scouting and parent organizations. She presently serves on the Ambler Ambulance Board of Directors and previously served as Council Member and President of Upper Dublin Lutheran Church, where she taught first grade Sunday School for many years.
